Hello there! My name is Thomas “Tobacco Tom” Jenkins. Welcome to my blog – your trusted source of all things tobacco. I am an internationally acclaimed expert on tobacco, with over two decades of experience in this intriguing and diverse industry.

I began my journey in the heart of the USA, where I was born and raised, in the tobacco-rich state of North Carolina. I’ve had the pleasure to work with some of the biggest names in the business, such as Philip Morris International and British American Tobacco, where I made significant strides in understanding and enhancing the quality and diversity of tobacco products.

Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply involved in product development, quality assurance, and market analysis. I’ve traveled the world, from the rich tobacco fields of Cuba to the high-tech cigarette factories in Japan, gathering invaluable knowledge and a global perspective on the tobacco industry.

In recognition of my contributions, I was awarded the prestigious “Tobacco Industry Pioneer” award in 2020 and was named “Innovator of the Year” by the Global Tobacco & Nicotine Forum in 2022.

Currently, I reside in the beautiful country of Switzerland, which serves as a strategic hub for many global tobacco companies. Here, amidst the breathtaking Alps, I’ve been able to cultivate a greater understanding of the European market and continue to forge relationships with industry leaders.

While I’m not diving into the world of tobacco, I’m an ardent hiker, photographer, and a lover of jazz music. I spend a significant amount of my free time traversing the scenic Swiss mountains, capturing the beauty of nature through my camera lens. And there’s hardly a week that goes by without attending a live jazz show.
